Close ผลงานของ ลูคัส ดอนต์ ที่ได้รับเสียงปรบมือยาวนานถึง 10 นาทีในรอบปฐมทัศน์ หนังที่ทุกคนพูดเป็นเสียงเดียวกันว่า “ไม่มีใครสามารถกลั้นน้าตาได้อยู่เลยจริงๆ” Close เป็นหนัง coming-of-age หรือการก้าวผ่านวัยของเด็กชาย 2 คนที่เป็นเพื่อนสนิทกัน จนกระทั่งเกิดเหตุพลิกผันที่ทำให้ทั้งคู่ต้องรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลง นักวิจารณ์ส่วนใหญ่กล่าวยกย่องว่า ในรอบปีไม่น่าจะมีหนังเรื่องไหนที่ “หวาน” และ “อ่อนโยน” ได้เท่ากับหนังเรื่องนี้อีกแล้ว ทั้งยังคาดการณ์ว่า หนังน่าจะไปได้ไกลถึงเวทีออสการ์ในช่วงต้นปีหน้า
