Clemmy Dawson, the daughter of a sea captain, lives in a small fishing village, where, in the summer season, she meets Jack Avery, who is visiting a nearby resort. When Clemmy is later attacked by Sam Johnson, her father (who does not know the identity of the man who sought to force his attentions on Clemmy) vows that he will force the responsible man to marry her. Clemmy names Avery, and her father proceeds to make plans for a wedding. In the meantime, Clemmy discovers that Avery already has a fiancée and, with a change of heart, she runs off, taking refuge on Lover's Island. She makes plans to marry the villainous Sam, but Avery, realizing that he has come to love her, goes to Lover's Island, stops the wedding, and marries Clemmy himself.

When Bob Smith brings in the outlaw Bob Moore he learns his real name is also Bob Smith. With his sister whom he has not seen since childhood arriving, Moore gets Smith to pose as him. The masquerade works fine for a while but then Moore's gang members plan to kill him and Smith must save the brother of the woman he now loves.

Horatio Manly Jr. (William Haines), the only son of Judge Horatio Manly (David Torrence), is disowned by his father for obstructing firemen during a hotel fire. He later redeems himself by rescuing a young woman, Alice Doran (Dorothy Devore) and a street urchin, Mickey (Frankie Darro) from a burning building...and capturing Mickey's wicked father Big Jim (Sheldon Lewis), an escaped convict.

Duplicitous Patricia Chase schemes to break up the new marriage of Margery and Wallace Graham because she yearns for Wallace despite her marriage to another. She nearly succeeds but the revelation of a secret thwarts her at the last moment and she gets her just desserts shortly after.

Young Tony, unable to make a living in crowded and fast-paced London, goes to South America in search of his fortune. He soon becomes the owner of a saloon and dance hall. One of the dancers in his place, Maxine, falls in love with him, but Tony is still in love with his childhood sweetheart Una, although Una is now a "party girl" back in London and has forgotten about Tony. However, Tony comes into an unexpected inheritance, along with a title, and returns to London for Una. Although disappointed with Una's current lifestyle, he asks her to marry him despite her "indiscretions". However, the night before they are to be married Una confesses a deep, dark secret to Tony that could change their lives forever.

Ranger Dave Mannion is deprived of his badge for allowing the notorious Braxton gang to drive diseased cattle past his border patrol. He suspects Eric Prang to be a spy for the gang and sets out to prove it.

Tom Donahue, a New York traffic cop, wins a trip to Europe in a newspaper contest, and he decides to visit relatives in Ireland. Arriving in Dublin, he learns that he is an exact double for Lord Fitzhugh, a young Irish aristocrat with whom he becomes friends. The Earl of Killarney, Fitzhugh's uncle, who is on his deathbed, wishes to see his favorite nephew and wipe out past animosities. Fitzhugh, in the meantime, has disappeared, and his sister, Lady Gwendolyn, persuades Tom to take his place.

Familiar story of spoiled heiress, Blanche Sweet, who dabbles in romance with commoner Ronald Colman. They roam the highlands together hunting since this is Sweet's "sport." They seem to have an idyllic affair going when into the mix comes an impoverished prince (Lew Cody). He determines to steal away the heiress and pay off his creditors. Indeed, this is the plan he shares with them.

Jeff Farnell, forced by circumstances to take a job on a New York scandal sheet while he awaits the settlement of his claim against a steel company. Job Hardcastle, the hardened city editor of the paper, sends Jeff to get a story on "Mops" Collins, a society divorcée who has been reduced to dancing in a cabaret. Jeff takes pity on Mops, who is dying of consumption, and takes her into his apartment, telling Hardcastle that he could not find her. Afraid of losing his job, Jeff hunts for a big story, finding it when he discovers that Clive Ross-Fayne, a friend he thought lost in the war, has been arraigned on charges of narcotics peddling. Jim Joyce runs a garage with old Abner Hope. When Hope's granddaughter, Mary Ellen, comes to visit, Joyce falls in love with her. Joyce has a number of bizarre inventions and he dreams of harnessing the nearby falls for power, but he can't get any financing from the town banker.

"The plot introduces Omar as a leader of his people but deals rather with the love of his nephew, Ben Ali, for the fairest daughter of the tribe" (Variety, 7 Oct 1925, p44).

Alice and her cat are driving along the coast when they accidentally ride off a cliff and into the ocean. They trick a fish into towing them along until a storm hits and they are swept away to the Cannibal Islands, where they are pursued aggressively by the locals.

When Bill Croft, a notorious gunfighter, is bushwhacked, innocent rancher Frank Douglas is accused of the crime on circumstantial evidence and sentenced to be hanged. Jack Douglas, Frank's son, sets out to prove his father's innocence with the help of Jean, the murdered man's daughter; Jack eventually apprehends the killer and forces him to confess, but the sheriff is unable to stop the execution without an official pardon.

As youths, Carl Pfeiffer and Henry Block came to America from Germany. Pfeiffer became a wholesale shoe dealer, while Block became a banker. In spite of their lines of work, they apparently save most of their energy for their unending arguments with each other. The latest dispute involves the Great War (the film takes place in the days just before America became involved).

Story of a cowboy who saves an old cobbler from being abused by a nasty banker. The banker does not take kindly to Hartwell's interfering and orders his henchman to kill the upstart.
