Based on previously unheard testimony by survivors, rare archive footage, secret documents and interviews with the leading historians on this catastrophe, this film provides, for the first time, an insight into the folly of the Great Leap Forward. It examines the mechanisms and political decisions that led to famine, stripping away the incredible secrecy surrounding the campaign, and exposing the lie which continues even today as to who was responsible, and the true human cost.

Expedition Robinson was the Swiss version of the Swedish reality show Expedition Robinson and it debuted in 1999. Seeing the success of the Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish versions of the show TV3 in Switzerland decided to produce their own version of the show. Unfortunately, due to low ratings the show was cancelled after just two seasons. At the time the show was cancelled the third season was nearly done being shot. Despite this the third season was never broadcast. The name alludes to both Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, two stories featuring people marooned by shipwrecks.

Wer wird Millionär? was a Swiss game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show was hosted by René Rindlisbacher. The main goal of the game was to win 1 million CHF by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There were three lifelines - fifty fifty, phone a friend and ask the audience. Wer wird Millionär? was broadcast from 27 March 2000 to 2001. It was shown on the Swiss TV station TV3. The biggest prize won on the show was 500,000 CHF won by Hans Frauchiger. In 2011, Swiss TV station 3+ resumed the Show with slight changes: the lifeline ask the audience was replaced by ask the experts and the candidate needs to choose at the beginning of the game whether he plays the save or the risky variant. If he chooses the risky variant, he gets a fourth lifeline, "Switch the question", but he loses the second guaranteed sum.
