Tomorrow We Will See offers a window into how ten artists in Lebanon are using art as a tool to question sectarian divisions while encouraging freedom of thought. Against the backdrop of Lebanon’s scars from wars, and socio-political scars created from sectarian divisions, Lebanese artists continue to contribute to the creative community despite the uncertainties of what tomorrow may bring.

The Lebanese filmmaker makes several trips from Germany back to her home city of Beirut over the course of the three years following the onset of a catastrophic economic collapse in the country in 2019. She tries to make sense of a life enmeshed in crisis, born of one and heading towards another one.

In Selfies, Reema Mahmoud, a displaced woman in Gaza, shares her struggles during the war through a letter in a bottle in which she talks about the beautiful life she once had. She hopes her message will inspire people to appreciate their lives and cherish peace.

A film about a young man whose aspirations are shattered in the alleys of a city altered by war. He tries to rid himself of his past and leave. However, he must confront his fiancée Farida with his decision to leave the city, igniting memories and contradictions within him.

Produced in Deir al-Balah. A journalist leaves his reporting station just minutes before his live broadcast, to go to the restroom. In the long queue of impatient people, the war is discussed by those waiting in line. Some praise the photographer, while others criticize him for not covering a particular incident or for not being at a certain location during a specific event. The photographer’s tense state and need to use the restroom continue to rise until he reluctantly returns to the live broadcast to cover an ongoing massacre. The story is humorous and painful, capturing the often-overlooked, quotidian struggles of refugees surviving amidst a genocide.

In the memory of adults there is a childhood and in the beginning of the forest there is a tree and in the history of the walls an old inscription. The women of Asir region, southern Saudi Arabia, created the art of Qatt through abstract engraving and drawing on walls and different objects with bright colours.

Abjad Ḥawaz takes its name from the ancient ordering of the Arabic alphabet. Through the body of Salma Zahore, each letter is danced and embodied in the ruins of Barcelona. Blending fashion, music, poetry, and performance, the film reclaims a language often feared and misunderstood, turning it into a celebration of identity, resilience, and artistic freedom.
