In a few days young girl has important Art Academy revisions. All she does now is work trying to come up with the main idea for her artwork. Despite her own clearly visible distraction there are multiple outside factors hindering the creative process. Only when diving deep into her own mind, ignoring the outside world she is capable to discover and meet the main character. Only then she is able to create it.
Will history be able to triumph, and misfortune and loss turn into joy? Everything is possible in the theater.

A minor official, Jonas Shatas, saved an apothecary who had fallen into the river. The whole city found out about it. Jonas felt like a hero. It seemed already close to the realization of a dream - marriage to the daughter of the boss. However, Jonas plan was not destined to come true. Having taken the chief, who was floundering merrily in the water, for a drowning man, Jonas decided to stun him before starting to rescue him.

The year 1992. Lithuania is already independent. One day at her workplace a factory worker Danguole wins the SPECIAL prize . This means she will be entitled to welcome an American press-photographer who is coming to Lithuania in three days. She and her family are to represent the New Lithuania to the world in a photo reportage to be issued. This way the factory worker Danguole becomes a kind of a Lithuanian ambassador. Obviously, everything she owns is dated, soviet-tinged and cannot represent anything. The New Lithuania should be newly fashioned. The problem is... what exactly does the 'newly fashioned' mean?
Tekle and her young daughter, Ema, return from abroad to visit Dalia, Tekle’s mother. When Ema goes out to walk her dog, Dalia, fearing something terrible might happen to her granddaughter, starts looking for her.

"Back to the Dreamland" is a charming and breath-taking story about the experiences of American Lithuanians during their first visits to the occupied homeland. What they saw and how they felt seems strange and difficult to understand today, since after fleeing Lithuania during the WWII, the refugees maintained a romantic and slightly naive image of their motherland.
Mystical Lithuanian mythological fairies and the goddess Laima determine the fate of a newly born person. Sometimes it gives a person wealth, health, happiness, sometimes only misery, suffering, failures. Nothing can change Laima's destiny.
On May 1, 2004, about half a dozen children were born in Lithuania. Their arrival in this world coincided with the accession of Lithuania to the European Union. At the initiative of director Arūnas Matelis, the creative group that recorded the birth of many babies returned to some of the heroes every few times. After 20 years, the director Eimantas Belickas together with the author of the script Ramune Rakauskaite chose the brightest, outstanding young people who already have something to say about their first steps upon reaching adulthood. This is a picture of the first EU generation in Lithuania.
The film about the city of Naujoji Akmenė is regarded as one of the first Lithuanian attempts to liberate itself from the stereotypes of the Soviet documentary. Even though the remnants of the “Socialist prosperity” are clearly perceptible in the movie, the process of directing is obtaining more freedom: the voiceover is losing its canonization, and the power of the narrator is given to the main character, a small child Virginijus.
