The entire life of singer Beatričė Grincevičiūtė is filled with music. The director sensitively and carefully creates a multifaceted portrait of the performer. In the film, she is both her own most demanding critic and a playful teacher to young children, who affectionately call her "Auntie Music." Surrounded not only by a group of friends, but also by admirers of her talent, she remains modest and simple, wanting as many people as possible to experience the beauty of music and her favorite songs. Only the subtle final shot reminds us that Beatričė experiences the world not with her eyes.

When creating the film “Only a Trace Remains,” a connection was established between the film and soil fungi, without the authors expecting to receive any specific results in return. However, the microorganisms were generous. Although part of the film is no longer on the reel, its traces continue to circulate in the ecological system. How can this complex connection be described?

A time when humanity as a whole refuses to common perception. The time when God is dead, and the man left to his own fate, dies hard, and looks for answers. The way man should go to his unique vision of the world is based on the testing method, how many of his explorations he can afford. If you go too far, you won’t come back. This is the price paid by an individual trying to investigate the limits of body and mind whims. Here comes the clash between the body and mind, between the individual and society, between morality and what is not compatible with it, after all, and between life and death.

Martynas, who is seriously ill and completely paralyzed, spends his days in a hospice. He has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease with a survival rate of less than 10 percent after three years. Martynas' life was far from exemplary, filled with despair, protests, and alcohol. The man who promoted unbridled freedom was confined to bed by illness. Today, Martynas has no control over his body and communicates using his eyes via a computer. In the hospice, he starts a business and a support charity called "Live Today," and becomes a teacher so he can help others suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The hospice becomes the beginning of a new life for Martynas, where he finds happiness, meaning, and hope. Martynas' story intertwines with the daily life of the hospice, his friends, family, and the strength, sense of humor, and support of the volunteers and nurses who care for him. Emilija Škarnulytė’s immersive installation is inspired by the Kaunas Tadas Ivanauskas Zoological Museum’s displays. For her performative, cinematic piece she brings together the poetic and scientific to create a sensory experience that investigates the philosophical concept of Deep Time and events on a geological scale. This story of survival through time, unfolds with the choreography of artificial lights and sounds. Škarnulytė’s work evokes time travel and can be understood as a form of archeology of the future. Here, she investigates the unknown, including pre- and post-human evolution and adaptation, the current intersecting structures of power and the devastating effects of climate change.
