In 1990 a group of young students from the Art High school in Sarajevo forms the band Protest. This is a tale about love, music, and rebellion in the complex Balkan reality, symbolically titled PROTEST IN CARIESLAND.

This documentary tells about the incident which happened on Januar 21, 1993 in the town of Trebinje (Republika Srpska), when a local Serb, Srđan Aleksić, aged 27, stood in defense of Bosniak Muslim Alen Glavović, who was attacked by four soldiers of entity's armed forces. Infuriated rowdies then attacked Aleksić himself, who 6 days later succumbed to fatal wounds. It is a story about one man's heroism during the times of his nation's moral low point.
