Even though she was still young at that time, she was nineteen (19) years old when she joined the "BMA" organization, also because of the invitation of her older brother, Ka Turing or Arturo Santos Sulit, also a member of the "BMA" and "USAFFE". Remedios became a spy for the guerrillas against the Japanese. With her was her friend and childhood friend Elvira Jimenes.
