The MV Wilhelm Gustloff was a German KdF flagship during 1937-1945, constructed by the Blohm & Voss shipyards. It sank after being torpedoed by the Soviet submarine S-13 on 30 January 1945. The Wilhelm Gustloff's final voyage was during Operation Hannibal in January 1945, when it was sunk while participating in the evacuation of military personnel, Nazi officials and civilians who were surrounded by the Red Army in East Prussia. The Gustloff was hit by three torpedoes from the Soviet submarine S-13 in the Baltic Sea on the night of 30 January 1945 and sank in less than 45 minutes. An estimated 9,400 people were killed in the sinking. If accurate, this would be the largest known loss of life occurring during a single ship sinking in recorded maritime history. Now, NGC examines the events leading up to the catastrophe and looks for answers to the mystery surrounding the fateful night.

My project shows an attempt to cope with everyday existence and give it meaning. In the chaos of events, thoughts, issues, routine and everyday rituals become a safe haven that protects us from asking ourselves questions about meaning, etc. Treatments around the body, obsession with beauty and youth, excessive health care give us the illusion of controlling time and body. Bursting, splitting, striking out, alienating is not the result of a symptom, a disease manifestation of its existence. This is just because there is a crack, split, alienating fission in human nature.

The Krakow climbing scene has always been full of personalities from the edge of science, culture and art. For many, sport was a window to the world. The invisible force that draws you into sport is like a drug. Sometimes it doesn't seem to make any sense, but without it everything else loses its meaning as well. Whether you represent the country internationally, climb rocks, or do it just to push your boundaries – it sets the rhythm of your life.

The Energy Angles

The Energy Angles 2004

The expression of the fascination of a problem of the ANGLES existance as of its kind intuitive geometry. The imaginary "MODEL" became the main subject of my artistic activity since many years. I am wondering, how the geometry, whose intentions are only practical purposes, can exist in art. I decided to create ANGLES as the energetic, cultural, sign in a form of a personal fetish, in order to make this problem important. I have a feeling, that having three angles at disposal, I will be able to put them, in any way, on the so called REALITY, but also on my biological motivity. Thanks to this operation, I want to cause a kind of the energetic tension. This TENSION should be an essence of this absurd work, i.e. the way of taking on its own articulation to the selfdependent existing matter.
