You must have passed through here at least once, says the voiceover commentary during the opening shots of this film. We learn that express trains pass through Meri without stopping and goods trains slow down, but don’t stop. Only the 7:01 commuter train stops, for just a minute, long enough for the teaching staff to alight. Dedicated to all those who live and work in isolated corners of the country, the film conjures up a small, remote world, virtually unknown to wider audiences.

Little Ones Describe the Big World is not so much relevant as a sample of the directorial work of filmmaker Gabriel Barta as much as it is as an example of the early writing of one of Romania’s most peculiar and prolific writers, Radu Cosașu, who, at the time, worked closely with the Sahia studio after going through a difficult patch with the political establishment. The film is structured through the father-daughter dialogue written by Cosașu to lend colour and a narrative to the aforementioned exhibition. The style of his writing combines the wit, irony, and casual tone that have become his trademark: here, however, these qualities are put to work for the benefit of the socialist state’s political agenda.
The documentary gathers stories of people who face their own gravestone photo while still alive. If you could choose one photograph of yourself that others will always remember you by, which one would you choose?

This account purportedly originated in Cincu, the Transylvanian village which today houses one of N.A.T.O.’s key combat training zones in Romania.
Five simple people past their first youth have the band "Dio Family". Two taxi drivers, a painter, a baker and a nurse try to get out of the monotony of everyday life through their passion for music. Lack of money, free time, fatigue, failures are at every step, but nothing stops them, because they feel that if they give up they will lose this last bet to find their happiness.
An improvised fiction about a film crew that wants to make a movie about a homeless woman, as an actress, ultimately undermining her image with false goodwill and not truly offering her a role. In other words, about the hypocrisy of film production.
The rituals and the ancient carols practised by the shepherd communities in the Carpathian Mountains are nothing short of those of the ancient Greek and Roman rituals.
