Everyday when General Xiao and his men ride through the Imperial City, inhabitants have to scatter around in order to keep out of their path. One day when Lei plans to assassinate Xiao but gets hurt, another three fighters He, Jiao and Feng come out boldly to help him out. With the help of Zhu, a cook, He succeeds to escape whereas the other three are seized. Later on, He acquaints himself with the girl Gui. Along with another two girls, Hai and Jiang, these eight youngsters are the descendants of the late patriotic generals, who have been recently murdered. Gui suspects that Hai and Jiang are controlled by Xiao and sneaks into his manor. She meets the girls successfully, but she is seized. When Wan, Xiao's butler, urges his master to kill Hai and Jiang, Jiang overhears their conversation and tries to rescue all her friends. At last, the eight are united and try their best to fight against General Xiao and his men.

Young Talent Time, is an Australian television variety program screened on Network Ten. The original series ran from 1971 until 1988 and was hosted by musician Johnny Young. The show was revived by Network Ten in 2012 and is hosted by musician and actor Rob Mills. The series features a core group of young performers, in the vein of The Mickey Mouse Club, and a weekly junior talent quest. The "Young Talent Team" perform popular classic songs along with the top hit songs of the day. The original program launched the careers of a number of Australian performers including Jamie Redfern, Tina Arena and Dannii Minogue and spawned numerous hit singles, fifteen Young Talent Time albums, a film, swap cards, boardgames, toys, and numerous Logie Awards. The first episode of the original series aired on Channel 0 in Melbourne at 7.00pm on Saturday 24 April 1971. The final episode aired on Network Ten at 7.30pm on Friday 23 December 1988. The first episode of the 2012 series aired on Network Ten at 6.30pm on Sunday 22 January 2012.

Les 100 tours de Centour was a 1971-1972 French language children's television show made in Quebec by Radio-Québec. Its stories revolved around Verbo, a genie with magical power who was trying to recapture Centour. The show's main purpose was language acquisition, which was conveyed by the way Verbo would do magic: when he needed to perform a trick, he would ask his talisman for a formula He would then close his eyes and repeat, asking the children at home to do the same. Centour on his part would perform magic by reciting similar formulas while shaking his magic wristband. Memo's constant companion was Picot Cotton, a young human male whose family was often the target of Centour's tricks.

Ryan and Ronnie was a television comedy series made by BBC Wales and originally broadcast in the Welsh language under the title Ryan a Ronnie. The series starred Ryan Davies and Ronnie Williams. There were three Welsh-language series before the English version appeared in 1971. It ran for three series, ending in 1973. The programme consisted of sketches and stand-up comedy sessions in which Ronnie took the role of "straight man" to Ryan's clowning. There was also music, from the duo themselves and regular guests such as Welsh singer Margaret Williams. Each programme ended with an episode of a spoof soap opera entitled "Our House", in which Ryan played the mother of the family and Ronnie the father. Myfanwy Talog played their daughter, "Phyllis Doris". The running joke in "Our House" was that "Mam" doted on her son, Nigel Wyn, originally played by Derek Boote and, latterly, Bryn Williams, and forgave him anything, whilst being strict with Phyllis Doris, whom she always addressed as "you brazen hussy". Both children were played by adults, the former appearing dressed in school uniform. The father, "Will", was the silent type, but each week, Nigel Wyn would address him as "Will" and "Will" would say, "Don't call Will on your father".. With its bizarre and off-beat, almost surreal humour, "Our House" has achieved an iconic status.

Sale of the Century was a UK game show based on a US game show of the same name. It was first shown on ITV from 1971 to 1983, hosted by Nicholas Parsons. The first series was supposed to air only in the Anglia region, but it rolled out to other regions since 8 January 1972 and achieved full national coverage by the end of 10 May 1975, at which point it was one of the most popular shows on the network - spawning the often-mocked catchphrase "and now, from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week." It has been revived twice first on Sky One from 1989 to 1990 hosted by Peter Marshall and then on Challenge TV in 1997 hosted by Keith Chegwin.
