An amateur cycling team from Albania heads to France to take part in a tournament only to discover on the way that revolution has broken out back home.

October 1st, 1997. Students turn out on the streets of Prishtina to protest for their rights, against the repressive regime. Among them, three teenage friends also attend the protest, finding themselves in unimaginable situations.

A young couple and her brother spend a lot of time together around the city, having a lot of fun but all this happiness ends in the most unimaginable way.

No one knows why for certain, but from 1968 to 1973 communist Albania enjoyed a brief liberalisation in the arts. Banned books and Beatles records changed hands. Albania’s Nobel-nominated novelist Ismail Kadare wrote two of his most famed masterpieces, Kështjella (The Castle) (1970) and Kronikë në gur (Chronicle in Stone) (1971) during this period. The rock'n'roll and jazz arrangements featured in this concert documentary were the pretext that brought about the end to the artistic thaw. Several performers seen in the festival were sent to prison or internal exile. The portly, smiling music conductor, Gasper Çurçia, was later accused of forging bus tickets and executed.

During the riots of 1997 in Albania the retired photographer PETRO travels from his hometown Gjirokastra to the capital Tirana. He has taken pictures of a killing with his Super-8-camera and wants to get the film developed. Petro doesn't know that he shot material that shows how a TV-camera causes the death of a man and his granddaughter in order to get a good story. Unfortunately Petro meets this cameraman - BERTI - on the trip to Tirana. When the film is finally developed Petro gets to know the truth - and he knows his life is in danger! After many adventures on the road he tries at last to present the film to the public. But he must realize that the material was stolen. So only Petro knows the truth while the media spread lies about the deaths of Girokastra.

Marta is a young, energetic girl who wants to become a tractor driver. Her husband, Adem, initially supports her, but then she discovers his true nature.

Tili is a troublesome kid who always bothers his teacher and parents. However, they try to make him change his ways.

Kosovo, 2019. Corruption and unemployment have made it impossible for Shpëtim to find a job. Things get more complicated when he has to take care of his daughter as well, and does not have a proper place to live. After many attempts to solve his situation, and experiencing repeated deceptions, Shpëtim decides to migrate to Germany illegally in his search for a better life.

Two courtiers of king Zog are recruited by foreign agencies and come illegally in Albania. However, they get caught and interrogated, so the plans of the foreign agencies are thwarted.

Kosovo 1999. A line of refugees stops at a Serbian checkpoint. Serbian paramilitaries pull Adem and two boys, his son and his grandson, out of the car. Adem tries to pay for the children's lives, but he doesn't have enough money. They tell him that he can only save one child with this money. He must decide which one to save.

Story of Azem Bejta (1889–1924), commonly known as Azem Galica, who was an Albanian nationalist and rebel who fought for the unification of Kosovo with Albania.

Gjoleka symbolizes the young generation in the difficult realities that offer small and underdeveloped countries, where the outside world constitutes an irresistible attraction. The movie shows with a deep realism the human relationships, such as love, jalousie, hate, the impossibility to be integrated with another world, making this way a cruel autopsy of the weird society to which, "sometime" we belong.

Olga's decision to live with her daughter Meli, who works as a doctor assistant, in a remote village turns into situations full of vicissitudes. After an entire trade fair of correspondence to find a groom from the city, Olga presents Koçi to Mili, who pretends to be a true artist. Dear Enemy tells the true story of the director’s grandfather who became friends with a German officer during the WWII German occupation of Albania while hiding a partisan, an Italian soldier and a Jewish watchmaker in his cellar.

Far from his hometown, Beqir spends most of his time in front of the typewriter machine rather than with his wife. Nostalgic for his homeland and his people, he is no longer at peace with himself, so by writing his memoirs he tries to unveil something important, something he hides from his wife and even himself.
