“One of the most interesting places in the vicinity of Niagara Falls is the Whirlpool Rapids, where the immense volume of water which passes from the Falls, speeds along through its rocky and tortuous passage towards the ocean. The camera in securing this picture was placed at the front end of a train ascending the grade at a very rapid rate of speed. The combined motion of the train in one direction and the water in the opposite direction, the latter impeded and interrupted in its course by the rocky path through which it flows, sending beautiful masses of spray and foam many feet in the air, makes an impression on the audience long to be remembered.” (Edison film catalog)

During the terrific storm all of the light craft along the dock front was lifted out of the water and washed up into the streets, many of them being carried for miles inland. This subject shows a number of boatmen who have banded together to get their craft back into the water, a panoramic view being taken of the schooner as she glided sideways down the improvised ways, forming a very interesting subject. 60 feet. $9.00.

Elaborate floats and costumes parading the streets of Nice.

This scene is laid on a tropical shore. A pickaninny is fishing, when a huge alligator creeps up upon him and swallows him. The old father, who has seen the disaster, rushes in with an axe and chops the alligator open, pulling the boy out none the worse for his experience.

At the first news of the disast by cyclone and tidal wave that devastated Galveston on Saturday, September 8th, 1900, we equipped a party of photographers and sent them by special train to the scene of the ruins. Arriving at the scene of desolation shortly after the storm had swept over the city, our party succeeded, at the risk of life and limb, in taking about a thousand feet of motion pictures, although Galveston was under martial law and photographers were shot down at sight by the excited police. The series, taken as a whole, gives a definite idea of the most terrible disaster since the Johnstown flood of 1889.

this film is a documentary about the trip of Muzaffar al-Din Shah Qajar to Belgium. In Muzaffar al-Din Shah's travelogue, there is a report that is in fact the same as the text of this film: Today is Eid al-Adha and we were invited to watch. We went to watch. Mr. Ashraf, the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Court were also on the sidewalk. It was a very spectacular holiday. All the carriages were decorated with flowers and the carriages and wheels were filled with flowers, so that the carriages could not be found, and the women in the carriages passed in front of us with bouquets of flowers, and the photographer Bashi was taking cinematographic photos.

This shows the heart of one of the tremendous drifts in the east end of Galveston. Hundreds of dead bodies are concealed in these immense masses, and at the time the picture was taken the odor given out could be detected for miles. The subject shows a gang of laborers clearing away the debris in the search for corpses, one of which was discovered while the picture was being taken. (Edison film catalog)

Loosing sail to buntline, making sail, shortening sail and furling; also loose sail to bowline. This picture is absolutely perfect photographically; also very thrilling, and makes a most interesting subject.
