“Handy girl” at a local bakery Molly is sent to deliver a cake to a wealthy customer's home. Upon arriving, Molly learns that the household is hosting a party but has exactly thirteen guests—an unlucky number. To break the bad luck, Jack, the son of the house insists that his mother invite Molly to join the party as the fourteenth guest. This arrangement sparks jealousy in Flora, a wealthy girl who is in love with Jack. To sabotage her, the jealous rival takes Molly and dresses her in a ridiculous, unflattering outfit to embarrass her in front of the high-society crowd. Molly keeps her head and comes out a winner.

A cowboy and a wild horse find they have some things in common: both have enemies out to get them and both must save their mates from danger.

Langley Barnes goes to the North Country to seek peace, after being deserted by his wife, and falls in love with Christine, the daughter of Angus Garth, a factor made mad by the isolation. Despite the fact that he is not divorced, Langley marries Christine in an illegal ceremony. Captain Churchill arrives to erect a radio transmitter and, returning to the United States, marries Langley's wife, who has in the interim obtained a divorce. Churchill broadcasts news of the divorce to the North Country, and Langley and Christine can now become legally married.

Jim Marlow's brother, Chet, who has come west to manage the family mining properties, cheats Pete Daley out of his property. Pete enters Chet's office at night and robs the safe, being seen in the act by Tom Crowley. Pete hides the strongbox and sends a letter to his daughter, Marion, stating its location. Jim gets the letter and finds the strongbox, running afoul of Crowley, who shoots him. The sheriff arrests Jim for stealing the box, and Crowley attempts to take the box from the sheriff at gunpoint. The sheriff shoots Crowley, and Crowley, mortally wounded, tells the sheriff that Pete Daley was the man responsible for the original theft of the box. A lawyer who has been investigating Chet discovers that he has cheated Jim out of the substantial part of his rightful inheritance; Chet is sent to jail, and Jim settles down with Marion Daley.

On their honeymoon Vivian twice finds Perry in the arms of other women. Though Perry claims he was simply catching one who slipped, Vivian decides to teach him a lesson in fidelity. She begins aggressively flirting with every man she encounters, including a Scotsman, to make Perry jealous. To get back at her, Perry stages his own death in a plane crash, but when Vivian discovers the plane crash was a hoax, she is initially even more enraged. However, after a series of further misadventures, the couple eventually reconciles.

When Bob Smith brings in the outlaw Bob Moore he learns his real name is also Bob Smith. With his sister whom he has not seen since childhood arriving, Moore gets Smith to pose as him. The masquerade works fine for a while but then Moore's gang members plan to kill him and Smith must save the brother of the woman he now loves.

A clerk is given $10,000 to deposit at the bank, but the bank is closed for the night so he tries to get to the bank president's house with the money.
