Dino Bregu, head of a state farm, learns that Ilir, his successor, is having a relationship with his daughter, and must cope with this situation.

Flori returns to Tirana after a long absence, confronting his past and the consequences of his actions. He tries to mend relationships with his family and face justice, while the mafia has infiltrated key institutions like the police and politics. This puts Flori in a difficult position, where he must make crucial decisions for his own future and that of his loved ones.

The year is 1943. At his last breath, partisan Gani asks his friends to make sure that his daughter Sherka is married on the date set in advance for her wedding. Once the wedding ceremony starts, they find out that the bridegroom is a collaborator of the invaders. Sherka decides to cancel her wedding and joins her father s friends in their struggle for the liberation of the country.

The events of the film take place in a small town where a group of medical students have come for their teaching practice. Shpresa, the protagonist of the film, sees among these girls, her own daughter, Vjosana, who was bom after an unhappy love and was raised in an orphanage.

By 1980, Albania had broken with all the world’s superpowers. The isolation pushed the country into a corner. Industrial production slowed to a virtual standstill. Lines grew for bread, meat and milk. To inspire the typical socialist worker, this Kinostudio production highlighted the achievements of a model labourer who’s met his work goals thirty years into the future. Director Musliu ironically mirrors much of the ridiculous rhetoric that filled most of the era’s state-controlled media.

The movie ends with the triumph of the humane side.

Blerta, captain of the volleyball team, loves Miri, the driver of the cooperative. The nephew of the cooperative chairwoman is also called Miri and he lives in Tirana. Uan Suka, a servile troublemaker, convinces the farther of Blerta to engage his daughter with the nephew of the chairwoman. The confusion solves when the nephew of the chairwoman comes in the cooperative.
