In Nørrebro, brutal gang leader Abderozzak Benarabe, known as Big A, says goodbye to friends and family, gets into a car, and drives off toward the airport. According to his own statement, Store A has undergone a religious awakening after his younger brother was diagnosed with cancer, and he is now on his way to the civil war in Syria to fight on the side of the rebels. It is his sacrifice to God to atone for his many crimes. Award-winning journalist and documentary filmmaker Nagieb Khaja accompanies and films Abderozzak Benarabe's violent journey. The director follows him all the way – both in Nørrebro and among the rebels in Syria, where reality is raw and violent.
