This project is envisioned as an experimental film that will seek to challenge the modern-day purveyors of culture: Hollywood and Madison Ave. The philosophical urging of this piece will be that man's over-reaching tendencies are based on human ego, and are out of balance with the natural world. The workings of a man's ego can bring about greatness in art and architecture, science and medicine, but can also bring about catastrophe. Willed obliviousness to impending disaster is a human flaw readily exploited by corporate culture and media. This film will challenge the 1990's credo: "Don't think about it, just do it!"
A winter chill sets in making the furry residents of various dwelling places a center of affection and reflection. The images conjured up are steeped in a twilight worthy of polar pinpoints in the grip of glaciated gloom. The crushing weight of frigid fragments of time threatens to bury the animated remains of sentient stiffs as they flex their muscles in a vain attempt to ward off encroaching crustiness. Only the lure of mammalian fur promises a few precious moments of centigrade comfort in this zone of zero zoology.

Glutinosity, 2001, depicts a stage resembling the context of a riot and social masses as politic actors: uniformed crowd pulls and pushes the bodies of another group which seems to be glued together, presenting a single multifarious human mass. These strength and counter strength create a choreography around the density of the crowd and the weight of the crowded bodies.
The Inspirator is an installation that incorporates projected video, a mirrored fountain and glitter ball/s. The filmed image is of someone dressed as a panda playing the trumpet in the forest. He bursts from a glittery explosion to play his badly synched performance for a few minutes before turning to retreat into the forest bubble. The footage repeats itself on a continuous loop. The footage is projected into a masked circular frame cut at the top and bottom by the wall's limits and the room is painted dark green outside this projected area. The fountain is filled with running water, the sound of which is amplified through speakers that are built into its sides, adding another layer to the installation's sound. The film's soundtrack was produced specially by Matty Skylab.

An art film, both "weird" and experimental, it gathers elements of filmmaking which recall German expressionism and surrealism. "Play" retraces ancient fears and visceral obsessions in a black and white nightmare whose post-production work lasted for years.
The introductory text of as they pass is spoken calmly and quietly. The voice doesn't tell a story, it conveys atmosphere. It´s superimposed over images that flare up briefly and are punctuated by relatively long intervals of black frames whenever the viewer begins to orient him or herself. And suddenly, the images in Bödenauer´s animation made with silk paint on glass - start to overlay one another: They´re arranged by layer, extending into the screen´s depths, and the uppermost layer flows apart, revealing the one below it. In the end they seem to have all moved away, their composition has turned into strips of color which zip upward or to the side. This is accompanied by an increasing volume of sound. At the film´s conclusion there is openness rather than a point.

After his life became somewhat stable, he also took the little girl and child spirit from his hometown to Beijing, and went to a school run by migrant workers from other places in Beijing.
