One-hundred strong, the herd slowly makes its way through the shifting sands, following the promise of ephemeral desert rains. This is the remarkable, precarious, and untold story of a lost herd of elephants that live near the fabled city of Timbuktu. How the elephants survive in this seemingly barren, desolate landscape is a mystery. It is one however that Anne Orlando, a biologist from the University of California, hopes to unravel. For the first time she will track the elephants to uncharted lands and reveal the relationship they have with Tuareg nomads - a relationship which can be both respectful, and bloody. The lost elephants of Timbuktu are completely isolated from other African elephants - they were cut off from each other as the Sahara turned to desert centuries ago. They have survived in this unlikely setting by having a mental map of scattered temporary lakes and marshes.

"Super 8 images of a cellophane-covered male body floating in water are blown up into two separate movies—one video, the other 16mm—which screen simultaneously as superimpositions upon one another, further altered through colored gels placed in front of the projectors. The overlapped projections create an uncanny 3D effect, while the claustrophobic shots of the man's open mouth attempting to breath through clinging cellophane and roiling water, and the film's respiratory soundtrack, unveils a thanatos within its eros." —Ed Halter

"999" is a film that revolves around two main axes: a historic event (the end of Portuguese colonial rule in Macau) and a private, biographical relationship with the place (or your idea). The first required clarification and the second, resolution. Despite his best efforts, “999”, in the end, can't accomplish either one.

Since the beginning of time, man has emphasized his power by building monuments. None of the world's structures inspires as much admiration as the pyramids. Pyramids - in the deserts of Egypt and the Middle East, in the jungles of Mexico and in the American prairies - were built of stone as tombs of rulers or places of sacrificial rituals. They are silent witnesses of bygone times and extinct civilizations of antiquity. The Light Touch Dust Nebula is a hand-painted film, optically printed with carefully controlled temperature and lighting. Thermotropic (temperature sensitive) liquid crystal paint applied to decayed film changes from red to blue with heat. In-camera optical effects expose the contrast between the two extremes. This film exposes the warmth of light and its birth to form and motion in cinema.
Gossamer Conglomerate consists of hand-manipulated material, optically printed under closely controlled and monitored lighting situations. The film explores the delicate nature of film by placing the fluttering colors of "fresh" film materials upon a colorless base of film destroyed by the molecular breakdown associated with "vinegar syndrome." The film represents the life cycle of film and its rebirth as a new and personal work and is suggestive of a butterfly's flight from the darkness of the chrysalis.
