During the 1990s, an unnamed protagonist lives with his dying mother and elderly father in the Sarajevo neighborhood of Dobrinja. One seemingly ordinary day in 1992, the Serbian siege of the city begins and he ends up being trapped within the confines of the neighborhood of Grbavica, where he hides away from the enemy forces and artillery fire in a small apartment owned by his family. During his stay in Grbavica, he quickly bonds with a young man he calls The Musician and falls in love with a young woman whose forced to prostitute herself in order to be able to provide care for her ailing grandmother.

The war turned a boy into a soldier and left victims in its wake - both death and alive - as well as memories that provoke tears and anger, but also laughter. The war also defined his take on life and almost destroyed his dreams.

The action takes place in the Bosnian countryside during 1970s. It is a web of time distance, customs, a modest but happy life, neighborly attitude and care, as well as dramatic plot that culminates in the second half of the film.

This documentary tells about the incident which happened on Januar 21, 1993 in the town of Trebinje (Republika Srpska), when a local Serb, Srđan Aleksić, aged 27, stood in defense of Bosniak Muslim Alen Glavović, who was attacked by four soldiers of entity's armed forces. Infuriated rowdies then attacked Aleksić himself, who 6 days later succumbed to fatal wounds. It is a story about one man's heroism during the times of his nation's moral low point.

A former Yugoslavian and Japanese singing star, painter, refugee turned stateless, beloved poet of unrequited love. It is not well-known that she loves wild guitar, along with experimental and ambient music, Jackson Pollock, and that she still dreams in Japanese. Since the accident on a concert in Japan in 2011, she has been suffering from progressive withering away of muscles. The movie is a collection of fragments from her life, told in a sickbed during her three years of battling the incurable illness.
