This document shows the solidarity of the people and government of Costa Rica towards the people of Nicaragua in their fight against one of the most opprobrious tyrannies in Latin American history: the dictatorship of the Somoza family. It aims to point out the reasons that moved Costa Ricans to support the insurrectional feat carried out by the Nicaraguan people in their desire to achieve freedom, after 43 years of Somoza repression.

Johnny Mathis, byname of John Royce Mathis, (born September 30, 1935, Gilmer, Texas, U.S.), American pop singer who achieved wide and enduring popularity as an angelic-voiced crooner of romantic ballads. He was perhaps best known for his affecting rendition of the Erroll Garner composition “Misty” (1959). Mathis grew up in a large working-class family in San Francisco. He developed an appreciation of music from his father, a former vaudeville performer, and, as a child, he sang regularly in church and at school events. From age 13 he also took vocal lessons, which provided him with a classical foundation for his burgeoning talent.
Rainer Burmeister (director) tells a story about everyday working life of 46 young Mozambican people in the GDR who were employed as contract workers. Among them is 20-year-old Luisa, who worked in the mining industry and, like the others, is now training to be a craftswoman.
Short film by Ugo Nespolo.
One of my very first films, for which I hold the camera at arm's length and thereby capture fragmentary and very close images of myself washing my face or combing my hair; all interspersed with photos at different ages.
Azra is a smelter by occupation and surname (Livac – smelter), one of the few in the male-dominated profession. But she does not aspire to identify with her male counterparts, and despite the burden of hard work, Azra is open to the new love challenges.
In D'APRES MEG, small hand gestures are microscopically observed in their everyday context, a garden conversation, a construction site, a gallery setting. By taking our common peripheral vision of events seriously, Grenier produces an evocative enigma. From these images and bits of conversations, which are equally mundane, a new kind of disinterested seeing can be engaged. One that does not reflect meaning as invite it through repetition
A rebuttal to the Ntozake Shange play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, which inferred that Black men were the cause of their women considering suicide. My film takes the position that everyone is ultimately responsible for him or herself, and women, just as men, can be the cause of a relationship's breakup. The film's structure is similar to a television commercial, but unlike a commercial, the actor sells a point of view rather than a product.
The tensions between the beauty and decay of death.
