Year 1925 - 44

Alice, Julius, and one other character are in a combined auto/horse race. Julius gets off to a bad start when his car takes off, without him, in the wrong direction; it takes him a while to get it straightened out. Alice and the bad guy battle a bit for the lead, which Alice takes; they pass a detour, which the bad guy changes the sign for. Julius, taking the bad road, eventually drives up a cliff and, after a mighty struggle at the top, makes it, in third place, to the changeover. Alice and the bad guy ride off on horses; Julius has a wind-up wooden horse. Julius' horse keeps breaking down, eventually losing the back legs (Julius uses an empty thought balloon to hold up the rear). Alice's horse jumps a fence, and won't continue. The bad guy looks like he'll win, but Alice makes a mighty leap and knocks him off to win the race

Little Jerry elopes with a young girl whose parents have just divorced. The mother thinks the father (denied custody) has kidnapped her and, as it happens, the three (Jerry, girl and dog) do end up (along with the elephant and various zoo animals) stowing away on the same boat as the father (bound for Europe) and the other (in pursuit of father).

While Alice and her gang are performing "Uncle Tom's Cabin" she is knocked unconscious and dreams she is being chased by Pete across ice floes.

Jimmy Jump has a "plain" girlfriend, and becomes intrigued by a "fancy" girl he spots in a park. Eventually he realizes he is better off with his no-frills girl.

Jack Burton saves Anita Leland from a runaway horse, and then saves Sam Sills from a beating at the hands of Bill Sterns. Jack goes into partnership with Sam, who is later murdered by Bill. Jack is arrested for the murder on circumstantial evidence. He escapes and finds Bill just in time to save Anita from his foul advances. Bill is arrested, while Jack and Anita anticipate a happy future together.

To support a demanding wife, bank clerk Brian Kent embezzles a large sum of money and, overcome with remorse, attempts to commit suicide by casting himself adrift in a small boat on a rough river. The boat is caught in willows, however, and Brian meets Judy, a little maidservant who introduces him to her mistress, Auntie Sue, a schoolteacher. Under Auntie Sue's benign influence, Brian reforms and writes a book. Falling in love with Betty Jo, Brian incurs the enmity of Judy, who tells her father of Brian's unsavory past. Judy's father starts out for the bank, but Auntie Sue gets there first and persuades the bank president (a former pupil of hers) not to prosecute Brian. Brian's wife attempts to visit him and is drowned. Brian finds happiness with Betty Jo.

Two burglars break into the home of an eccentric doctor. The doctor catches them, but offers to let them go free -- and give them a thousand dollars -- if they go to a cemetery and bring back the body of a man who he believes died of "water on the brain."

Jim McMorrow and Bill Mullaney become close friends during the fighting in France, and Bill asks Jim to look after his family if anything should happen to him. Bill does not return from a patrol in no man's land, and Jim goes to the Mullaney farm, taking care of Bill's wife, Mary, and old Mother Mullaney, who dies shortly after Jim arrives. Jim and Mary are left alone on the farm, and the neighbors begin to gossip.

Jack Lanning defies his father by becoming a prizefighter. Although he is successful, Jack is exiled to Texas by his father. There he falls in love with Jenny Jenkins, a pretty girl whose widowed aunt has fallen in love with Jack. Jack helps the widow recover her ranch payroll, stolen by outlaws, and tries to find a way to marry Jenny without causing trouble with her aunt.

Her Market Value is a 1925 American silent melodrama film directed by Paul Powell and starring Agnes Ayres. Powell produced the picture and distributed through Producers Distributing Corporation.
