When two decorated police officers pound the pavement on a mission to take down the most vicious mobsters and drug dealers on the streets, their quest to purify the corrosive cesspool of a city they call home soon leads them into the upper-most ranks of the force.
Empathy reverses the psychoanalytic gaze back onto the psychoanalyst. Three genres—fiction, screen test & documentary interview—provoke questions about power, manipulation and understanding. A fictional narrative about a voice-over actress in psychoanalysis interweaves with “screen tests” of actresses auditioning for her role in Empathy, as well as interviews with actual psychoanalysts.
SUN – which is not necessarily typical for the genre – consists of nothing more than a dozen static shots with little or no movement. The main subject of both the video and the song's lyrics are identical. But this is not immediately obvious: In a slow reverse zoom the white glare filling the picture is gradually revealed to be the sun's ball of light surrounded by a green-ish yellow blaze.
